Mario Ramírez holds a PhD in Biological Sciences with a specialization in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where he also earned a Master's degree in Biological Sciences. He is also a Professor of Sciences with a specialization in Biology from the Universidad Católica del Maule. During his undergraduate studies, he completed two research internships, one at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and another at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where he delved into the fascinating field of Immunology. His interests focus on teaching areas related to biomedicine and on research into the development, characterization, and evaluation of vaccine-induced immune responses, with the aim of promoting, through education and scientific research, the design of more effective and safer vaccination strategies that contribute to improving protection against infectious diseases, both in the general population and in high-risk groups.
