Abstract
This study analyzes the Agrarian Reform process in the Aconcagua Valley, Chile, aiming to evaluate its socioeconomic and cultural impact. It examines the transformation of landowner families, marked by the loss and eventual recovery of lands, and the peasantry, which transitioned from tenancy to agricultural ownership. The results show that the Reform not only involved land redistribution but also a reconfiguration of social relations, peasant identity, and forms of community organization. It is concluded that this process was a significant moment in Chilean agrarian history and left a structural legacy in the rural landscape.
